HI, I'M LAURA!
I live in Texas (although I'll always be a Midwesterner at heart!) with my husband and son. After working in recruiting and HR for 17 years where I reviewed thousands of resumes and interviewed hundreds of candidates , I stepped away from my career to focus on raising my son.
I faced the same concerns you have when I looked to return, thinking, “How in the world am I going to find a job that fits my new needs AND pivot careers?”
After fruitlessly applying for jobs that I wasn't really interested in just to see what was out there, I decided to get clear on what I needed from my next position and built a strategic game plan to get to where I wanted to be.
